LABOUR CONFERENCE 2023
In order to promote the democratic rights of employees, make favorable for employees to know and give out their opinions on the issues related to their rights and responsibilities, Vietnam Italy Steel JSC has organized the Year 2023 employees Conference.
The conference was honored to welcome the presence of Mr. Luyen Phuong Nam - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Hung Yen Industrial Zones; the VIS's Board of Directors; Managers of Departments; the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Party Committee, the Secretary of the Youth Union and representatives of employees.
The year 2022 has been very challenging as the steel industry witnessed a sharp decrease in demand. High inflation in economies caused by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, China's Zero Covid policy and the decline of the real estate sector made the steel industry faced many difficulties. Many steel mills have to operate in discontinuity and extend production plans. Steel mills in general and Vietnam Italy Steel in particular also faced many difficulties. However, the Board of Directors and employees in the company have made their efforts to maintain production. The company always fully and timely pay salary and policies for employees.
At the conference, Mr. Yasuhiro Yonemura - General Director shared about the results of production and business activities in 2022 and the development orientation in the coming time. General Director Yasuhiro Yonemura received and answered the employees's suggestions and questions related to issues: salary, working time and conditions, regimes....
The conference also heard the report of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union on the implementation of the year 2022 labor agreement, the participation in making and amending regulations relating to the employees’ rights & obligations, union activities and using the welfare fund.
The leaders of the units gave out the opinions and idea on many contents, focusing on reflecting the difficulties in the year and proposing solutions to carry out the key tasks in 2023.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Luyen Phuong Nam - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Hung Yen Industrial Parks appreciated the efforts of the VIS leadership, trade union and employees last year. He also guided the Company to carry out the procedures to request the Trade Union of Hung Yen Industrial Parks and Hung Yen Province to support the employee when they face difficulties.
On this occasion, the company awarded teams and individuals with excellent achievements in 2022.
