Quarter 2 steel industry business results: Despite the disease, there are still enterprises with strong growth over the same period.

In which, the steel enterprises have nearly double the profit growth over the same period.

In the first half of 2020, most businesses and business lines are strongly affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. The steel industry is one of the industries most affected by projects being delayed, or even stopped working due to the social gap, influenced by other factors.

Many enterprises have profit growth over the same period

Looking at the steel companies on the stock exchange, it can be seen that only a few firms have growing business results such as Hoa Phat (HPG) or Hoa Sen (HSG). However, these are also two multi-industry enterprises, of which for Ton Hoa Sen, the last quarter is the third quarter compared to the company's fiscal year.

The number of enterprises doing business with profits but still decreased over the same period can be named as Nam Kim Steel (NKG), such as Vietnam Steel Corporation (TVN), SMC, Vietnam Italy Steel (VIS), Thai Nguyen Steel (TIS), Thong Nhat Flat Steel (TNS) or as Viet Duc Pipe Steel (VGS). Besides, there are many enterprises reporting losses like Pomina (POM), like Tien Len Steel (TLH), or like Dana Italy Steel (DNY).
